LUXE LISTING: Sydney’s rental crisis has plunged to new desperate lows, with a dirty, old one car garage on Blair St Bondi being listed as a ‘studio apartment’ for rent.

“This is a rare opportunity for someone to enjoy an endless summer lifestyle,” the landlord told DBT.

The listing on domain.com.au makes no mention of the garage’s lack of bathroom or running water, but says it’s “only an easy stroll to Bondi Beach.”

The ad also notes its “close to transport,” but there are no bus stops or train stations nearby.

“Well, it is close to transport if you park your car in there,” the landlord says.

“But obviously you’d need to move the mattress to make way for the car.”

The property also comes with a bedside table, a small pot plant and a ‘live, laugh, love’ wall hanging to help justify the $2200 per week price tag.

More than 45 potential tenants attended an open for inspection this morning, with 31 applications received.

“I’ll be announcing my decision on the lucky applicant within the next few days,” says the landlord.
