The federal government has announced that cosmetic clinics offering botox injections will remain open for business in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

“These clinics are offering essential services,” says Prime Minister Scott Morrison. “They also generate huge revenues making up an important part of our national economy.”

The PM announced last night that pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes, gyms and places of worship will close from noon today to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

“This is a national lockdown. We’re shutting down as much as possible,” says Scott Morrison. “But we’ve decided that cosmetic clinics in Sydney’s east need to remain open.”

The news comes as a welcome relief for many local residents.

“This is an important measure to maintain our confidence and morale during these difficult times,” says one Double Bay woman.

“We want to end this crisis looking as good, or better, than we do now.”
