NSW Health Lists Cosmetic Injections As ‘Essential Services’ For Residents Of Sydney’s East

The state government has announced that beauty clinics offering cosmetic injections will be allowed to remain open for business, but only in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

“These clinics are heavily relied upon by residents of Sydney’s east,” says NSW minister for health Brad Hazzard. “That’s why we have listed them as ‘essential services.’

Cosmetic practises in other pars of greater Sydney will remain closed in line with the 2-week lockdown announced by the NSW Premier today.

The exemption for services in Sydney’s east has come as huge relief for many local residents.

“This is an important measure to maintain our confidence and morale during these difficult times,” says one Double Bay woman.

“We want to end this lockdown looking as good, or better, than we do now.”

There are now also calls for liposuction to be included in the exemption.

More to come.
