Vaucluse man being treated for PTSD after getting stuck in crowds after the Vivid drone show
LIVID: It was meant to be a relaxing night out with friends, but one Sydney man says he’s been “to hell and back” after getting trapped among thousands of revellers at Vivid on Sunday night.
“It was absolutely barbaric,” says Mark Stanway-Phipps, who is currently undergoing therapy for post traumatic stress disorder.
“There were people there from all over Sydney and beyond.”
“Nobody from Vaucluse should have to experience that kind of trauma.”
The 31 year old says the drone show itself was “pretty good.”
“But nothing could have prepared me for the crowd crush that happened afterwards.
“I’ve been having flashbacks and nightmares,” Stanway-Phipps told DBT.
“I actually rubbed shoulders with a man who was wearing an Adidas tracksuit.. I mean what the actual fuck!”
