Roosters fan disoriented & scared after leaving the east for tonight’s game at Shark Park
DOWN SOUTH: A Roosters fan at Shark Park – also known as PointsBet stadium – for tonight’s NRL elimination final is reportedly feeling overwhelmed, confused and frightened.
“To be honest, I haven’t left the eastern suburbs in about two years,” Sam DeLonge told DBT. “Where are we now exactly? Is this still Sydney?”
It’s understood the 26 year old is feeling disoriented after a 50 minute Uber ride with friends to Cronulla from Bondi.
“Once you get south of Central Station things start to look very depressing,” he says. “I feel like I’m in a different country or something.”
“OMG gross.. look at that Sharks fan over there, he has a tattoo.”
DeLonge, who lives in Bondi and works in Edgecliff, says he resents tonight’s showdown being held in Cronulla.
“Why can’t they just have it at Allianz Stadium at Moore Park?” he asks.
“My girlfriend is at home in Bondi tonight, but I’ve asked her to be available on her phone at all times in case I get scared and need to talk to her.”
