PM Says Bridget McKenzie Has Coronavirus, Meaning She Can’t Do Interviews On Sports Rorts

The federal government claims embattled cabinet minister Bridget McKenzie has been diagnosed with Coronavirus.

“It’s unclear how she contracted the virus, but rest assured we’re doing everything we can to isolate her and prevent it from spreading,” says Scott Morrison.

It’s understood Ms McKenzie is currently in a quarantine facility on Christmas Island.

“That’s why she’s been unable to give any interviews about her management in the sports grants program.”

Bridget McKenzie has been completely silent since the ‘sports rorts’ allegations were made against her two weeks ago.

“Look, she’s actually very keen to talk, but she’s just too unwell to even write a statement,” says Scott Morrison. “Please be patient with her.”

More to come.
