Man found hiding near the Bondi to Bronte walk after seeing too many people he knows at Sculpture by the Sea

CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: A Sydney introvert has taken drastic action to avoid people he knows along the popular Bondi to Bronte walk.

Just thirty minutes into his visit to Sculpture By The Sea today, Bondi’s Rick Fleming took refuge in a hidden cave along the track.

“I had to lower myself off a rocky ledge to get into the cave,” he told DBT. “It was a risky move, but totally worth it.”

The 28 year old says he bumped into thirteen people he knows after only half an hour at the popular sculpture exhibition.

“I got bombarded with awkward small talk from acquaintances, colleagues, neighbours and distant relatives,” he says. “It was relentless.”

He says he’s already been hiding out in the cave for more than 1 hour.

“I’m staying here till nightfall,” he says. “It’s just not worth it.”
