“We’ve axed the lockout laws so people can buy drinks after 3.30am!” says Premier of state where you still can’t even buy decent coffee after 3.30pm

FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS: Sydney has taken major steps to become a 24 hour city, with news that all of the city’s controversial lockout laws have now been repealed.
This means venues in Kings Cross and Oxford Street can now serve alcohol past 3.30am.
“Now we just have to find a way to get Sydney’s cafes to stay open past 3.30pm,” conceded NSW Premier Chris Minns.
“One step at a time.”
Caffeine-deprived Sydneysiders argue it’s significantly more important to be able to get a coffee after 3.30pm than to get an alcoholic drink after 3.30am.
“Well you can always go to a McCafe or a 7/11,” responded Chris Minns.
“Or the Starbucks on George street closes at 9pm.”
