Peter V’landys spotted at Pitt Street Mall asking buskers if they’d be keen to perform at the NRL Grand Final

OPEN MIC: Peter V’landys was seen today conducting impromptu auditions in Pitt Street Mall as the NRL continues its search for Grand Final entertainment.

Witnesses say the NRL chairman moved between buskers asking about their availability and set-list flexibility.

“He watched one violinist for about 30 seconds before asking if he knew Dance Monkey,” said one shopper.

The musician reportedly expressed interest but said he would need to check whether he was already booked for a wedding.

“No luck yet, but I’ll keep trying,” said V’landys, before continuing towards Circular Quay.
