Local year 12 student decides on gap year after school so he can spend more time at Club Rose Bay

STAYCATION: A Bellevue Hill year 12 student has got the all clear from his parents to defer his studies.
“Uni can wait,” says Max Lyle-Hanley. “Honestly the thought of commuting all the way to Camperdown for uni right now seems a bit intense.”
Instead, the 18-year-old Cranbrook student will be taking a gap year, but not to backpack through Europe or volunteer in Africa.
“No I just want to stay in Sydney and hit up Club Rose Bay as much as possible,” he says.
His parents say it makes sense.
“All the networking he’ll be doing at Club Rose Bay is basically like doing a Commerce degree anyway,” says his mother.
