Local rev head refusing to believe nobody wants to hear his offensively loud engine and cringe 1990’s techno
NOISE POLLUTION: In a tragic case of delusion, Sydney rev head Ben Ansari remains firmly convinced that everyone is in awe of his souped-up Mercedes AMG A45, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
The 32 year old regularly drives from Sydney’s west all the way to Bondi to rev his engine at all hours of the day and night, pairing the roar of his exhaust with late-90s techno pulsating from his car’s sound system.
“Mate, people love it,” he confidently stated.
“You see the way they look at me when I drive past? That’s pure jealousy.”
Local residents, however, paint a very different picture.
“All these hoons are so annoying,” says one Bondi resident.
“We all have to stop talking when they drive past as nobody can hear anything above their ridiculously loud engines and crappy music.”
Meantime there are growing calls to ban excessively loud motorists.
“The police need to get involved,” says another resident.
“These people need to understand they’re impressing absolutely nobody!”
