Upon first glance, the wildly successful 8-part Netflix drama Bridgerton appears to be a high-brow period drama from the early 1800’s.
But the show – set in London’s Regency era – took many viewers by surprise with its raunchy sex scenes.
Now Bridgerton has its very own dedicated category on the Canadian-owned internet pornography website PornHub.
“Under the partnership, PornHub is pleased to announce that we are now featuring some of Bridgerton’s steamiest sex scenes,” says PornHub CEO Tiago Lido.
On Netflix, Bridgerton captured 82 million households in its first month alone. Much of its success is attributed to its many raunchy sex scenes.
“We currently have three of those scenes now featured on PornHub under the headings: ‘Do Me Duke,’ ‘Whoops I’m Pregnant,’ and ‘Period Drama,'” says Pornhub’s Tiago Lido.
“It’s very high quality pornography.”
And he says ‘Do Me Duke’ is currently Pornhub’s most popular clip, already wracking up more than 1.2 million clicks since it was uploaded on Thursday.
“It’s generating excellent traffic for our site.”
