Bondi man skips regular Saturday morning beach promenade run, as grim weather means few people are there to watch him

NO SHOW: Heavy winds and cloudy skies have thrown a dark shadow over the workout plans of one Bondi man.

Every Saturday morning Harry Darcy runs four laps of the Bondi Beach promenade without his shirt on.

Normally, the area is packed with onlookers who provide him with the crucial motivation he needs to showcase his athletic prowess.

But today’s grim weather has left the beach virtually empty.

“What’s the point of going for a run if no one’s there to watch you?” he asked our reporter.

“It’s like performing in an empty stadium.”

DBT understands Harry Darcy quickly left Bondi Beach in search of bigger crowds.

“I might go and do a few laps of Double Bay instead, so I can jog past all the people sitting at Bake Bar.”
