BIG BREAK: A Sydney woman is taking the next brave step in her fledgling modelling career.
Lucy London has updated her Instagram bio to ‘Fashion Model’ after listing some of her clothes on Facebook Marketplace.
“I can’t believe it’s finally happening,” she told DBT. “I’ve dreamed of being a model since I was 8 years old.”
The Paddington woman has a total of six pieces of her clothing available for sale, but she’s not doing it for the money.
“It’s a great way to get modelling experience, and who knows, maybe I’ll get noticed by someone important in the industry.”
The 27 year old has previously tried several more conventional pathways into the industry, without success.
“I’ve submitted my portfolio to several modelling agencies, and one time I even applied to go on Australia’s Next Top Model.”
“Hopefully Facebook Marketplace will be my big break. I might list some other clothes for sale soon.”
