Ground zero of the Covid-19 pandemic is once again open for business.

As new cases continue to fall in China, Wuhan tourism officials are trying to lure tourists back to the area.

“We’re offering free holidays to any influencers with more than 100,000 followers,” says a Wuhan tourism official. “We want them to help show the world that Wuhan is safe.”

Many countries are still issuing strong advice against travel to China, but it’s understood hundreds of influencers from all around the world have taken up the offer.

One of them is Australian former reality TV contestant, Jenna Milton.

“It’s quite nice here,” she says. “I’ve toured the famous live markets where the coronavirus outbreak started. It was very interesting to see it.”

Jenna Milton plans to stay in Wuhan for another 8 days before returning to Sydney, where she’ll be expected to self-isolate for 2 weeks.
