RIF RAF: Popular Italian restaurant Totti’s Bondi made a controversial new decision to ban diners with less than 5,000 followers on Instagram.

“We need to make sure we’re attracting the right crowd, and also keeping the riff raff out, especially during the busy summer months,” says manager Joel Kentworthy.

Patrons must now have at least 5k followers to make a booking.

And door staff are checking the instagram follower counts of those without bookings, to ensure they also meet the criteria.

“In addition, we reserve the right to turn away anyone who we suspect may have purchased some of their followers,” says the manager.

And he says anyone rejected from Totti’s Bondi is welcome to dine at Tottis’ other locations in the CBD and Rozelle.
