OLD HAND: An outspoken local boomer has issued a blunt assessment of rising cricket star Sam Konstas at a family BBQ in Rose Bay tonight.
Glen Westwood says the 19 year old test opener is a one hit wonder.
“I’ve been playing cricket on and off since the ’70s,” said the 69 year old.
“I know good talent when I see it.”
Glen Westwood’s declaration comes despite his cricket career peaking with a highest score of 7 at Easts 4th grade in 1977.
“Well, it was 7 not out,” said the former tailender.
“But I can tell you one thing, that Sam Konstas still has a lot of work to do in the nets.”
