Sundays Bondi bakery now only serving customers with more than 5k followers
NUMBERS GAME: Popular cinnamon scroll micro-bakery Sundays Bondi has announced a strict new policy: no entry for patrons with less than 5,000 Instagram or Tik Tok followers.
Management says the rule aims to ensure the bakery keeps attracting the “right crowd,” and also to reduce the numbers of people lining up.
“We’ve only been open for a few weeks, but already people are queuing up for hours,” says the bakery.
From today door staff have begun checking the Instagram and/or TikTok follower counts of those in the queue.
“Dont bother queuing up unless you have more than 5k followers, because if not, you will be walking away empty handed,” says Sundays Bondi management.
“In addition, we reserve the right to turn away anyone who we suspect may have purchased some of their followers.”
And the bakery says anyone rejected from Sundays Bondi who still feels like matcha and a cinnamon scroll should head to Cinnabon.
