NSW Premier unveils plans for ‘Vivid, Western Sydney,’ to be held at Penrith Panthers Leagues Club pokies room
MONEY SPINNER: In an ambitious and somewhat ironic move to bring the spirit of the Vivid Sydney light festival to the western suburbs, the NSW Premier has announced the inaugural ‘Vivid, Western Sydney.’
“For too long, the light and magic of Vivid have been confined to central Sydney and the harbour,” says Chris Minns.
“It’s time to bring that same sparkle to Western Sydney.”
To be held at the Penrith Panthers Leagues Club in July, festival-goers can expect a dazzling display of lights as they stroll around the club’s poker machine room.
“With over 700 machines in constant, kaleidoscopic motion, the pokies are set to transform the humble venue into a pulsating hub of visual excitement,” says the Premier.
“Plus, it’s a great way to support local businesses!”
Locals appear to be welcoming the initiative.
“Wow, that looks awesome,” says one man. “I’ll be there every night of the festival for sure.”
