Introverts are expressing relief about new social distancing measures introduced today by the NSW government.

“We applaud the ban on dancing, singing and mingling at events,” says local introvert Gavin Edwards. “They are all very high risk activities.”

Gavin Edwards says he’s invited to a friend’s wedding next weekend.

“Hopefully the whole event will be cancelled,” he says. “The more social distancing the better.”

If its not cancelled, the 26 year old says he doesn’t mind having to remain seated for the entire event.

“That’s fine, I’ll just ignore the two people sitting next to me and then I won’t have to talk to anyone,” he says.

Gavin Edwards also says he enjoyed the recent lockdown.

“I had very little social anxiety during isolation. Hopefully we’ll be going back into lockdown very soon.”
