A Sydney man who knows nothing about cricket is repeatedly referring to the Ashes first test winning Australian cricket team as “we.”
“We are 1-0 up in the Ashes,” says Jason Dunn. “How good! The poms can call us cheats if they want, but, hey, look at the scoreboard!”
The 31 year old is among the many people who’ve distanced themselves from the scandal-ridden Australian cricket team, until now.
“I’m feeling a bit dusty today after staying up late to watch the match,” he says. “But honestly I’d do anything for the lads in England. We smashed them.”
He also has some poignant thoughts on former Australian team captain Steve Smith.
“What a champion. We never turned our back on him, even in the darkest of times. Bring him up here I wanna boof him.”
