A Dulwich Hill man has joined the throngs Sydney-siders posting selfies showing off their City To Surf finishing medals.
It’s understood Tom Zermanis barely finished the race, posting an agonisingly slow time of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
“I smashed it,” he wrote in a caption under his Facebook photo.
Double Bay Today asked the 54 year old how he feels about drawing attention to a medal which is mass produced in China and worth about 4 cents.
“I don’t care if more than 80,000 people get one of these,” he says. “I’m fucking good.”
Today’s iconic fun run was won by Harry Summers in a time of 40.05 minutes, more than 4 times faster than Tom Zermanis.
More to come.
