Man uses beach cabana to reserve public BBQ at Bronte Park

BBQ HACK: A Sydney man today tried a revolutionary way to reserve the hotly contested BBQ’s at Bronte Park.

Riley Tyson arrived early, but instead of starting to cook, or just waiting next to the BBQ, Riley Tyson erected a beach cabana on top, put out some deck chairs and left.

“I’ll be back in a few hours,” he told onlookers. “I just need to go to Coles to get my BBQ ingredients first.”

DBT witnessed some people show interest in using the BBQ, but ultimately stayed away because of the cabana.

But then a ranger arrived to dismantle it, leaving it neatly packed in its bag.

A frustrated looking Riley Tyson later returned to find the BBQ occupied.

“You guys can’t just take down my cabana! WTF!” he unleashed on the group.

Our reporter then quickly intervened to tell Mr Tyson it was a ranger who dismantled it before the group arrived.

At that point, he accepted his fate and angrily walked away with his cabana bag and chairs.
