Local woman attempts to rival her friends’ Mykonos holiday pics with selfie of her sunbaking on the concrete slab at Clovelly

CONCRETE DREAMS: Like the vast majority of Australians, local woman Gina Hartley-Sirocco can’t afford to go overseas this winter.

“It’s been difficult seeing my friends relentlessly posting photos from idyllic European locations,” she told DBT.

“So I thought I’d give them a taste of what they’re missing back home.”

In an ambitious attempt to outshine her friends holidaying in Mykonos, the Randwick woman today posted a selfie while sunbaking on the concrete slab at Clovelly.

She captioned the post: “Who needs Mykonos when you have Clovelly #WishYouWereHere #Wanderlust”

“It’s just a shame it’s overcast here and only 17 degrees,” she said.

At time of publication, the post had only received seven likes, including one from her friend in Mykonos, who also responded with a small sun emoji that Hartley-Sirocco has described as “a bit patronising.”
