A Sydney man is today giving thanks for one of the few positives to come out of 2020.
“Covid means I won’t have to kiss my two aunties at Christmas lunch this year,” says Claude Klaric.
“I do love them dearly, but it will be nice to not have to touch their prickly face with my lips. It’s a huge relief to be honest.”
Tough social distancing measures have forced us to maintain at least 1.5 metres from each other at all times.
It’s something Claude Klaric says has made family occasions much more pleasant.
“It’s good because it takes away all the uncertainty around greetings,” he says. “Everyone knows where they stand.”
“I’ll just give my aunties a quick wave and have a nice chat with them without having to get up close and personal.”
The 29 year old also says social distancing should become a permanent rule, regardless of Covid.
His aunties were not available for comment.
More to come.
