MISTAKEN IDENTITY: Fresh from a chat with the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, the U.S President has declared Austria free from US trade tariffs.
“The Austrian PM and I have negotiated an exemption from impending U.S. trade tariffs,” says Trump.
“I love Austria, all those wonderful autobahns and lovely yodeling in the mountains.”
In response, an exasperated Albanese tried to clarify the difference between the Central European nation and Australia, to no avail.
“I’ve requested another chat with Trump for later this week,” says the Australian PM.
For now, the world can only watch as the U.S President once again leaves confusion in his wake, bridging two nations that share very little, except a handful of letters in their names.
