Greens Condemn NSW Labor For Accepting $100k Cash Donation In Plastic Bag

The Greens are lashing out at NSW Labor MP’s for accepting $100,000 from a Chinese donor in an Aldi plastic bag.

“This underscores Labor’s weak environmental credentials,” says Greens leader Richard Di Natale. “Labor should only be using paper bags or suitcases for this type of activity.”

Labor is fighting back today, claiming the plastic bag was in fact reusable.

“Let’s not forget this was a reusable Aldi plastic bag,” says NSW Labor leader Jodi McKay. “We plan to keep using this bag to accept future under the table donations.”

The Greens are now calling on police to conduct a raid on Labor offices to see if the bag is being reused.

More to come.
