First 24 hours of weekend away with friends at AirBnB spent arguing about who should get which room
WEEKEND WARRIORS: It was meant to be a chance to relax and unwind, but a weekend away for one group of Sydney friends quickly turned into a petty and tension-filled ordeal.
Almost half of their time at a Bowral AirBnB was spent in a heated debate about one vexing question: Who is staying in which room?
“Well I found and booked this AirBnB, so surely that means I get to choose which room I want,” said one of them.
“OK, but I drove us all here in my car, so clearly the choice is mine,” retorted another.
After arriving at the AirBnB early on Friday evening, insiders revealed to DBT that the negotiation dragged on well into Saturday.
“Guys I have a rare auto-immune disease which basically means that I need the room with the en-suite,” argued another one of the friends.
Eventually the issue was settled with a high-octane rock-paper-scissors tournament.
But the group never quite recovered, with an underlying tension and resentment plaguing the remainder of the weekend.
As they arrived back to Sydney they pledged to do another weekend away soon.
But deep down they all knew that next time they’d each just stay in Sydney separately in the comfort of their own homes.
