Multi-level marketers around the state are reacting angrily to the NSW government’s announcement today that essential oils do not qualify as essential goods.
“Leaving home to buy essential oils is not permitted in any circumstances,” says Brad Hazzard. “Just because they’re called essential oils, doesn’t make them essential.”
One multi-level marketer who sells essential oils says the state government is ruining her livelihood.
“My clients rely on my plant extracts to support their health and well-being,” says Summer Wright. “We are being discriminated against by NSW lawmakers.”
However, without any scientific evidence supporting health claims being made by essential oil sellers, the state government is standing firm.
“Essential oils smell nice, but that’s about it,” says Brad Hazzard.
