GLAMPING: A Double Bay man is braving the cooler temperatures today, starting a two day camping trip in Centennial Park.
“I packed my backpack last night and got an Uber here this morning,” says Dan Bridge. “I’ve been keen to get away for a while now, to reconnect with nature.”
The 32 year old hedge fund manager has pitched a tent in a popular picnic area, a short walk from Oxford Street.
“It’s good to escape civilisation every once in a while,” he says. “But it’s good here because if I run out of supplies or get bored I can always walk up to Westfield Bondi Junction.”
This afternoon Dan Bridge plans to go on a hike around the park to take some wilderness photography, before settling in for a night under the stars.
“If things get tough, I’ll know it’s only making me stronger,” he says.
