COST OF LIVING CRISIS: Local woman forced to cancel trip to Amalfi Coast, settles on ‘Club Amalfi’ at The Watsons Bay Hotel

TEMU AMALFI: A Rose Bay woman has made some heartbreaking lifestyle adjustments this week, officially cancelling her European getaway and opting for ‘Club Amalfi’ at Watsons Bay Hotel instead.

“I just can’t justify dropping $18k on a fortnight in Italy, not when the Watsons Bay Hotel is doing a themed lunch with a DJ.” says Yolanda Maxwell-Marks.

Witnesses say Ms Yolanda Maxwell-Marks is at the event loudly describing her past Italian holidays to anyone within earshot, pausing only to capture 47 identical photos of her Aperol spritz.

Despite the cutbacks, she told DBT she’s staying positive.

“I’ll just close my eyes during the DJ’s saxophone break and pretend I’m overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea,” she said.

“Plus the ferry ride home to Rose Bay is basically the Amalfi Coast if you squint.”
