“Consider it a donation,” says wealthy eastern suburbs driver after being fined for parking in a disabled spot

PARKING PRIVILEGE: In a startling display of entitlement, a local billionaire has completely shrugged off a $450 parking fine for occupying a disabled parking spot today.
“This money goes into the public coffers,” Henry Symonds-Wilde told DBT.
“Perhaps they can use it to build more car spaces!”
Witnesses say Symonds-Wilde parked his Ferrari into the clearly marked disabled parking space, despite numerous regular spots being available just a few meters away.
This incident isn’t isolated.
A recent survey found that in Sydney’s wealthiest suburbs, violations of disabled parking regulations have increased by 40% over the past year.
“You’re welcome,” says Symonds-Wilde. “We are actually doing all of you a huge favour.”
