City2Surf runners yet to realise they’re allowed to take off their race bib and medals now

WANTA MEDAL?: As another iconic City2Surf ends, throngs of runners are still wearing their race bibs and medals while making their way home.
Among them is Peter Cranley, who is returning from the Beach Road Hotel.
“I don’t mind leaving my race bib on for a while,” he admits.
“Especially here in Double Bay there’s a good chance I’ll see someone I know.”
The 35 year old Double Bay resident stopped briefly on his way home near the front of Woolworths to do some light post race stretches.
But then he and some friends decided to drop into Bake Bar for some cinnamon scrolls.
DBT understands Peter Cranley is still not home.
UPDATE: He just returned home, still wearing the bib and is planning on wearing it to work tomorrow.
