Chinese Communist Party Posts Job Ad For An ‘Internet Troll’

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is on the hunt for an internet troll, as China’s tensions with Australia continue to erupt.

In a job ad posted to online job site Seek, the CCP says its looking to employ a ‘content creator with experience in producing spicy political memes.’

“The new staff member would work as part of our fast-growing propaganda unit here in Beijing,” says China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Lijian.

“Our internet trolling job is a great opportunity for a content creator with fresh ideas.”

The job ad comes after China posted to Twitter a meme using a fake photo of an Australian soldier holding a knife to a child’s throat.

“The CCP is really looking to ramp up our internet trolling,” says Zhao Lijian. “It’s a cost effective way to incite hatred and it works really well on a political level.”

Anyone interested in applying needs to submit their application by the end of this week.
