Byron Bay man torn between escaping cyclone Alfred now, or remaining in place to try perfect his windswept bohemian look
STORM CHASER: A Byron Bay man has spent this morning weighing up his options as Tropical Cyclone Alfred heads towards Australia’s east coast.
While most residents are busy packing essentials like vegan protein bars and essential oils, Jye McAllister is considering staying put.
“Maybe braving the cyclone is my destiny,” he told DBT.
“Sure, I might get a bit wet, but I don’t want to miss the raw, angry beauty of nature.”
The 32 year old mindfulness expert says the impending storm could also be the perfect opportunity to perfect his windswept boho look.
“I think I’ve got the look pretty much down pat already, but I think there’s a good chance the wind and rain could sculpt my hair into the perfect masterpiece.”
“I’ve always believed in embracing nature instead of resisting it.”
