Allegra Spender calls for drivers to be exempt from all traffic & parking laws, as long as they have their hazard lights on and drive a BMW

ELECTION SWEETENER: The election is yet to be called, but Allegra Spender is proposing a bold new policy aimed at shoring up votes in her electorate of Wentworth.
The Teal independent is pushing for a groundbreaking new policy, allowing drivers to breach road rules on two conditions.
“No matter what the situation, if you’ve got your hazard lights on and you drive a BMW, then you should be above the law,” she says.
“The eastern suburbs especially is a busy place, so drivers in this area deserve leniency.”
Her proposal is being welcomed by many.
“I always ignore parking signs and road rules,” one local BMW owner.
“But now, finally, I can do that without the threat of being booked.”
“Sometimes I need to double park just for 10 minutes or so I really don’t see why that should be illegal.”
