“All the pollen around at the moment is wrecking my sinuses,” says Potts Point man who had three bags to himself last night
SNIFFLES: Eastern suburbs residents say Sydney’s pollen season is hitting harder than usual, though not everyone is convinced it’s entirely to blame.
“It’s brutal,” said Potts Point resident Trent Marsden-McNicol, his pupils still dilated after polishing off three bags last night.
“I can barely breathe, my nose is running nonstop, and my head feels like it’s going to explode. Bloody hayfever!”
The 29 year old, who reportedly spent six hours at Sussudio Sydney last night, insists his condition is “definitely just allergies.”
“People don’t understand how sensitive I am this time of year,” he sniffled.
Doctors suggest pollen counts may be contributing to sinus irritation across Sydney, but concede they “can’t rule out” other possible causes in Trent’s case.
Flatmates say they became suspicious when Trent also blamed “pollen” for numbness in his mouth, and for a three-hour monologue about how “bad Sydney’s nightlife is.”
